The National Centre for Social Research (NatCen) is the largest independent social research institute in Britain. We design, carry out and analyse research studies in the fields of social and public policy including extensive research among members of the public.
NatCen has conducted high quality and innovative work that informs policy debates and the public for more than 30 years.
NatCen has been appointed by the Care Quality Commission to operate as the Coordination Centre for two of its Patient Survey Programmes, covering Long Term Conditions, and Mental Health. The Coordination Centre role involves developing methodology and documentation, providing guidance when surveys are in field, and processing, analysing and reporting on the data. The surveys are administered locally by Approved Contractors and trusts.
The Coordination Centre also carries out feasibility studies for potential future surveys.
